Datsun 510. Sold from 1968 to 1973, this was a series of the Datsun Bluebird. Inspired design-wise by contemporary European sedans, the car incorporated a single overhead camshaft engine, MacPherson strut front suspension and independent semi-trailing arms in the rear. The car's design is attributed to Teruo Uchino. Body styles included a two-door sedan, four-door sedan, station wagon and a coupe. Its affordability combined with its performance and simple mechanics have made the 510 a cult classic.
