'93 Nissan D21. This was the year when the D21 underwent a mid-life refresh, including new refrigerant for the air conditioning units, a slightly revised interior and of course, a refreshed front fascia. Most engine choices were retained, as with most other technical specifications. These changes would last until 1997, at which point the D21 and the Hardbody as a whole was discontinued; the truck was replaced by the Nissan Frontier.
This casting is a callback to times long past and castings long gone; the side tampos are a callback to the 1990 Mini Truck, a casting which was retired in 2004 after it was thrown into the Final Run series. It also has a wound down passenger side window. This casting is a lowrider version of the D21, and it shows; in fact, it is so low that this thing is notorious for being able to scrape across any surface, making it a poor roller overall.
