This is the Nissan S30, better known as the 240Z, 260Z or 280Z depending on the engine used. Designed by Yoshihiko Matsuo, the car was introduced to the American market by Yutaka "Mr. K" Katayama, president of Nissan USA'S operations. As Nissan's halo car at the time, the 240Z was meant to compete with contemporary European cars such as the MG MGB; its sleek styling, modern engineering, low price and high performance struck the crowd and the car has since gained a cult following. The car was soon succeeded by the more powerful 260Z. 168,584 were produced.

Now, about the casting. This casting was designed by Phil Riehlman and introduced in the 2006 First Editions under the Realistix banner. This version depicts a modified 240Z with a subtle widebody kit, a sort of Kaminari front bumper and a sort of Rocket Bunny rear wing. With some twenty-seven known releases, the 240Z has firmly established itself as a fan favorite and will likely remain in the lineup for years to come.
