The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a sports sedan based on the long-running Mitsubishi Lancer produced from 1992 to 2016, spanning ten generations in all. Colloquially known as the Evo, the Evolution VI is the sixth generation of the car with improvements mainly focused on engine durability and cooling. It was produced from 1999 to 2001 before being replaced by the Evolution VII.
