This is the #80 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R. Designed by Grant Larson and Sebastian Golz, the 911 GT3 R is the latest version of the 911 GT3 racing sports car, intended for competition in Group GT3 racing.
The 911 GT3 R is powered by a 4.2L M97/80 flat-6 making about 565 horsepower, mated to a 6-speed sequential developed in-house. The car's front and rear aprons ensure "optimized airflow", with LED headlights and taillights highlighting the car's "mysterious appearance"; it also features an "ergonomic interior" with a large steering wheel with illuminated controls. A number of packages are available for the 911 GT3 R such as two sensor packages, a camera package and packages for specific racing series. Introduced in 2023, the 911 GT3 R competes in numerous GT3 racing series, such as the IMSA SportsCar Championship, FIA World Endurance Championship, GT World Challenge and the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. The car's first win was at the 2023 12 Hours of Sebring with Pfaff Motorsports.
Autumn Oaks Racing, better known as AO Racing, first competed in the 2023 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The car was driven by P.J. Hyett, Gunnar Jeannette, Sebastian Priaulx and Harry Tincknell throughout the season; the car features a unique livery depicting that of a T. rex named Rexy who is occasionally replaced by its "sister" Roxy; Roxy was last spotted at VIR in 2024. The car had a highest finish of 6th in 2023; AO Racing clinched the championship at the 2024 Petit Le Mans (congrats!).
Now this casting was designed by Charlie Angulo and introduced in 2024 in the Race Day segment of the Premium line. This casting has seen two known releases, replicating Rexy and Roxy; Roxy is said to be "a little shy".
