The Toyota Land Cruiser is a series of four-wheel drive vehicles produced by Toyota since 1950; originally intended for off-roading, the line has since morphed into a luxury SUV. The third generation of the Land Cruiser, internally designated the J40, was introduced in 1960 and produced until 1984; it was available in a number of different configurations, such as pickup and SUV. The FJ45 was a long wheelbase version of the J40 series Land Cruiser, available in a number of configurations such as station wagon, pickup truck and "Troopy" extra long wheelbase troop carrier-like vehicle; the Troopy has since become very popular for recreational use.
This casting features 26 removable parts available as part of a "Mod Shop" package included with the vehicle, such as the wheels, roof rack with tent and spare tire among other parts; these can be removed and rearranged to create multiple different combinations of parts. The parts are either friction-fitted or snapped on depending on the type of part. Some parts do not appear to be used in either of the builds.
