This is a '13 Fiat 500e. Designed by Frank Stephenson, Roberto Giolito and Flavio Manzoni, the 500e is essentially a battery electric version of the Fiat 500 introduced in 2007. The first production version of the 500e was unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November 2012; while not the first electric conversion of a 500, it was the first to be done by Fiat in-house. Powered by a Bosch SMG induction motor, the 500e began sales in 2013 initially in California before expanding to Oregon in 2014; FCA stated that they had no plans to export the car to Europe. Despite this, cars have been imported into Europe via a third party company named Scuderia-E and given modifications for European compliance. FCA announced that they were discontinuing the entire 500 line in the United States in September 2019; the 500 remains in production in Poland, but the 500e has since been replaced by the New 500.
Now this casting was designed by Phil Riehlman and introduced in 2014 as the Fiat 500. This casting has seen ten known releases, the last being this one, where it was named the Fiat 500e and can be scanned into the Hot Wheels id app.
