This is a 1986 Nissan 720 King Cab. Introduced in October 1979, the Nissan 720, originally the Datsun 720, acted as the successor to the 620 pickup line, produced from 1973 to 1979.
The 720 was available in a number of configurations and in two- and four-door versions. In North America, the 720 was available in regular cab and King Cab models; the four-door crew cab model was not available there. Regular and long bed options were available, as well as the GL, DX and ST trim level packages. Available in both two- and four-wheel drive configurations the long-wheelbase two-wheel drive trucks featured a two-piece driveshaft with a center support bearing.
When initially introduced in 1980 the model was known as the Datsun 720; these featured Datsun branding all over the vehicle. 1984 720s feature "Datsun by Nissan" branding following the planned phasing out of the Datsun brand while later 720s were marketed exclusively as a Nissan. A wide variety of gasoline and diesel engines were available on the 720, with the 2.4L Z24 NAPS-Z inline-4 being standard for most of the 1980s. US and Japanese production ended in 1986 although the 720 continued to be produced until 1991 in Mexico.
Now this casting was designed by Brendon Vetuskey and introduced in 2024 as a RLC exclusive. It features a "dancing" truck bed with a large TV screen and other fixings. The model was originally completed for the 2023 line but some fine tuning was needed.
