This is a 1994 Volvo 850 Estate. Designed by Jan Wilsgaard, the 850 was a series of compact executive cars produced from 1991 to 1996, available in sedan and station wagon formats.

Development for what would become the 850 began in 1978, in what was known as "Project Galaxy". The 850 would first introduced in June 1991 as a 1992 model year car, initially as a sedan only. The slogan for the car was "A dynamic car with four unique innovations", referring to its new 2.5L B5254S inline-5 engine, Delta-Link rear axle, Side Impact Protection System and the self-adjusting seat belt reel. In 1993, a station wagon version was added.

The car was facelifted in 1994, which gave the car subtle visual alterations such as new front and rear bumpers and headlights. Also introduced that year was the 850 Turbo model. In 1995, the 850 T5-R was introduced and in 1996, the 850 R was introduced; both were higher-performance versions. The 850 was discontinued in 1997 after the 850 AWD was introduced that same year; the sedan was succeeded by the S70 and the wagon the V70.

Now this casting was designed by the late Ryu Asada and introduced in 2020 in the HW Race Day series of the mainline, sporting a livery based on Jan Lammers's Volvo 850 Wagon racing in the 1994 British Touring Car Championship. This casting has seen eight known releases, the last being this one in the Hot Wagons series in 2024.
