This is a Custom 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline De Luxe, model 2152. Designed by Harley Earl, the Fleetline was a sub series of various Chevrolet automobiles produced from 1941 to 1952 and mainly assembled in Michigan.
Initially a four-door sedan, the initial series was produced until 1948 as a sub-series of the Fleetmaster and other related models. In 1949 the car became a sub-series of the Special and De Luxe models of the Chevrolet lineup. Typical exterior features of Fleetline include their "smooth curves", chrome and stainless trim, large chrome bumpers and a "fastback"-like body as was described at the time, being "quite distinct" from a normal sedan shape.
The interior was fitted with cloth bench seats and a metal dash, occasionally with simulated woodgrain. It was typically powered by a 21) ci (3.5L) Blue Flame inline-6 with a 3-speed transmission. Production of the Fleetline ended in 1952, with the name dropped the next year. 189,509 two-door Fleetline De Luxe sedans were produced for 1950. The Fleetline would be replaced with the Bel Air for 1953, a car which would become a motoring icon for many decades to come.
The car would gain some film credits in the form of The Fate and the Furious; this vehicle was owned by a cousin of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel), Fernando (Janmarco Santiago). Toretto would use it in a street race against Raldo (Celestino Cornielle) and appropriately modified it for the race by ripping off the doors, hood and other parts to shed weight and modifying the engine appropriately. Toretto ultimately wins the race but the Fleetline is destroyed.
Now this casting was designed by Eric Han and introduced in 2024 in the Fast & Furious Series. This is currently its only release.
