This is a 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado TZ-G Selection. Produced since 1984, the Land Cruiser Prado (or Prado for short) is a four-wheel drive full-sized SUV sold by Toyota. It is a companion vehicle to the larger and more luxurious Land Cruiser.
The third generation Prado, internally known as the J120, was developed beginning in 1997 and designed from 1998; the design proposal originated from Lance Scott, a designer of Toyota ED², Toyota's European design studio based in France. The car was introduced in September 2002.
Engines at launch included the 2.7L 3RZ-FE inline-4, 3.4L 5VZ-FE V6 and the 3.0L 1KZ-TE inline-4 turbodiesel. Six trim levels were available in Japan, known as the RX, RZ, TX, TX Limited, TZ and TZ-G Selection; the highest trim level, TZ-G Selection, had heated seats, heated mirrors, adjustable air suspension, hill start assist control, central differential locks and occasionally automatic engine heating. In some areas the Prado was rebadged as a Lexus and named the GX 470.
In July 2004, the 5VZ-FE was replaced with a 4.0L 1GR-FE V6 and in August, the 3RZ-FE was replaced with a 2.7L 2TR-FE inline-4. The car itself shares some parts, such as the suspension, with the 4Runner and FJ Cruiser produced around the same time; the car is available in three- or five-door formats, with five-door versions featuring three seat rows. G-Book, a subscription telematics service, was available from 2007 on the Prado. Production of the Prado ended in August 2009.
Now this casting was designed by Mark Jones and introduced in 2023 in the HW Off-Road segment of the Car Culture line. This casting has seen two known releases, the other being a black "Chase" version. A third release is expected in 2024.
