This is a Porsche 935/77, known as Project 935X. Designed by Norbert Singer, the 935s were designed to compete in Group 5 Silhouette races. These were essentially racing versions of the 930s, which were turbocharged versions of the 911. Powered by a 3.0L Type 935 twin-turbocharged flat-6 making 531 BHP, the 935s were highly successful, winning its first ever race in the 1976 World Championship for Makes, the 6 Hours of Mugello. The fact that Porsche also supplied factory cars to other privateer teams usually meant that few could beat the 935. Annoyingly for Porsche, the 935/77 was often noted to be unreliable.

An interesting fact is that the 935 didn't actually originally have the signature slantnose bodywork; 935s were originally fitted with normal 911-style headlights, with the slantnose body work coming only a couple races later. The 935 would be continuously refined over and over until 1981, when production ended; even privateer companies got on the 935 train, building replicas with these body styles just to race on their own. 4 works chassis were made, with 13 customer cars.

Race Service's Rod Chong owns Project 935X, worked on by a number of different parties. The car was first shown off at SEMA 2019. It features a hand-painted livery by Nicolai Sclater, AKA Ornamental Conifer, and engineering by Bisi Ezerioha giving the car an exposed rear end and mechanicals. 1RIC developed an iPad-based AR experience for the car's showcase.

Now this casting was designed by the late Ryu Asada and introduced in 2021. This casting has seen eight known releases, the last being this one in 2025.
