This is a 1986 Porsche 959. Designed by Helmuth Bott, the 959 is a high-performance sports car manufactured by Porsche from 1986 onwards. Designed to satisfy FIA homologation rules, the car was initially developed as a Group B rally car before the demise of that category.

The 959 was powered by a 2.8L twin-turbocharged 959.50 flat-6, mated to a 6-speed manual. The car was capable of producing 444 BHP and could hit a top speed of 191 mph (317 km/h), making it the fastest street-legal production car at the time. Unlike many other cars of its type, the 959 was all-wheel drive; it is often considered to be one of the first high-performance sports cars with all-wheel drive.

Priced at $225,000, deliveries began in 1987. Today, the 959 is revered and worshiped as one of Porsche's most legendary models, shaping up the future of Porsche's automotive products. Its performance convinced Porsche to make all-wheel drive standard on all Porsche 911 Turbo models starting from the 993, and its combination of race car performance with luxury sedan comfort made it likely the most technologically-advanced road car of its time. Production ended in 1993 with 345 produced.

Now this casting was designed by Brendon Vetuskey and introduced to 2023 as an RLC release. It features an opening engine cover to reveal a detailed engine. This is currently its only release although a second color is expected to follow.
