This is a Custom 1990 BMW M3 Wagon. Designed by Claus Luthe and Boyke Boyer, the E30 series M3 was the first generation of what was to be as of now six generations of the performance-oriented version of the 3 Series. The E30 M3 began production in March 1986 to satisfy DTM and Group A touring rules.
The car featured a different front splitter, rear apron, sill panels among other changes, and was powered by a high-revving 2.5L S14 inline-6. Many E30 chassis were used in various forms of motorsport, such as endurance racing and even as extreme as rally; it was however touring cars where the E30 saw its greatest successes, with numerous titles in each of the series it competed in. Oddly enough the E30 was most successful in Japan, with seven straight titles in the Japanese Touring Car Championship from 1987 to 1993 in the JTC-2 category. Production ended in June 1991, with 17,970 produced.
This specific M3 though is a custom wagon conversion done up by Campbell Cars. According to documentation I retrieved this conversion was done a for a "pretty famous surfer". In terms of performance modifications twin turbochargers were added to the vehicle as well as some suspension tuning; a custom paintjob by AAKuztomz was also added to the car, taking inspiration from retro racing BMWs and a white hood for "variety".
Now this casting was designed by Fraser Campbell and introduced in 2024 in the HW Modified segment of the mainline. This is currently its only release. This casting is based on Jun Imai's '92 BMW M3 casting from 2012.
