This is a 'Tooned 1994 Toyota Supra. Designed by Isao Tsuzuki, the fourth generation Toyota Supra placed further emphasis on higher performance, with significantly different styling from the previous generation. Introduced with the Supra was the then-new 3.0L 2JZ inline-6; it was available in naturally-aspirated or twin-turbocharged formats. Notably the twin-turbocharged 2JZ-GTE was sequentially turbocharged, allowing for quicker response and higher boost. A new 6-speed Getrag 233 was also included with this model. The car was discontinued in 2002 due to stricter emissions regulations and currently holds legendary status among the various echelons of Japanese automobiles.
The Supra gained widespread fame when it was featured in the film The Fast & The Furious, as driven by Brian O'Conner (played by the late Paul Walker). The car was originally owned by Craig Lieberman, the film's technical advisor, and was modified to Universal's specifications for the film. The car features Quigley's Lamborghini Diablo Candy Pearl Orange Paint, Bomex front spoiler and side skirts, TRD composite hood, underhood lighting system, Racing Hart M5 rims, Bilstein coilovers, Sparco Milano seats, Clarion stereo system, various GReddy engine parts, Turbonetics T-66 turbocharger and Delta II wastegate, AEBS downpipe, APEXi blowoff valve, HKS electronics, G-Force racing ROM and Troy Lee graphics by Modern Image among other things. Eight Supras were used in filming; only Lieberman's Supra, the "Hero 1" car, was turbocharged and had a manual transmission.
Now this casting was designed by Fraser Campbell and introduced in 2023 in the Tooned segment of the mainline. This is its only release.
