This is a 2018 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3. Initially launched in 2012 as a racing version of the GT-R homologated for FIA GT3, the GT-R GT3 was also updated in 2018 to "improve driving performance". It races in various GT championships around the world.

The GT-R GT3 was introduced in 2012 as a replacement for the GT-R GT1, effectively obsoleted by the phasing out of GT1 rules following 2011. The car was developed in conjunction with JR Motorsports and was introduced in a press release in January 2012. The car is powered by a 523 hp 3.8L VR38DETT twin-turbocharged V6, essentially the same engine as the road car except tuned for racing, and a 6-speed Ricardo sequential. The car features an adjustable suspension setup and driver controls as well as a tuned suspension. Several update kits were made available for the GT-R GT3, such as ones in 2013, 2016, 2018 and 2020.

While the 2018-spec retains the same 3.8L V6 as the earlier car and 6-speed sequential, the engine was lowered and moved rearward to optimize weight distribution, while power was increased to 550 hp. The torsional rigidity of the front end was increased and suspension changed, and its aerodynamics redeveloped to ensure vehicle stability and better vehicle cooling; the air intake layouts were also changed for the same reason.

The car features an entirely new cockpit design for "improved comfort". The car was developed with the help of long-time NISMO driver Michael Krumm. The latest kit was introduced in 2020, named the GT-R NISMO GT3 Evo, which includes repositioned cockpit switches and the introduction of a power distribution module among other features.

Now this casting was designed by Dima Shakhmatov and introduced in 2024. This casting has seen two known releases, the last being this one.
