This is a 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Weißach. Designed by Fabian Schmölz, the 911 GT3 RS is a further enhanced version of the already track-focused 911 GT3. It is described by Porsche as "pushing the boundaries of what is possible".
Unveiled in August 2022, the main difference between the 911 GT3 and the GT3 RS is its dramatically improved aerodynamic profile. The 911 GT3 RS is powered by a 4.0L DVZA flat-6 producing 518 horsepower, mated to a 7-speed PDK dual clutch; this is the only transmission available on the GT3 RS. Numerous components on the car are made of carbon fiber for "consistent lightweight construction"; the car itself is fitted with a lightweight stainless steel sports exhaust system. The car does 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds; it has a top speed of 296 km/h (184 mph) and a 9,000 rpm redline.
The biggest change between the 911 GT3 and GT3 RS is the incorporation of active aerodynamics; the car's front diffuser and rear wing are automatically adjusted using the Porsche Active Aerodynamics system, with the wing acting similar to the Drag Reduction System on a Formula One car. Front aerobars and an S-shaped air duct help with aerodynamics, while the optional Weißach package reduces the car's weight further with liberal use of carbon fiber parts and Weißach Package-specific branding. Finally, the car features a motorsport-inspired interior and can be fitted with a rollcage and six-point harness. Priced starting at $241,300, production commenced in September 2022.
