This is a 1985 BMW 635CSi Touring Car. Designed by Paul Bracq, this was a racing version of the 635CSi used for competition in the Australian Touring Car Championship (now the Supercars Championship).

Introduced in 1976 and internally designated the E24, this was the first generation of the BMW 6 Series. An initial proposal had the E24 based on the E9 3.0 CS with increased height to make it easier for people to enter and exit the car; this proposal was rejected by executive Bob Lutz (yes, that Bob Lutz), leading to the car's current shape. Production commenced in January 1976 with the 633CSi, followed by the 630CS; the 635CSi would enter production in 1978.

The 635CSi was initially powered by a 3.5L M90 inline-6 until 1982, when it was switched to the 3.4L M30B34 inline-6 from 1982 along with a facelift for the car and the M30B35 from 1988; originally equipped with a 4-speed Getrag 262 manual, the car changed to using a 5-speed manual from 1982 onwards, in addition to having a 4-speed automatic. The United States would only receive the 635CSi in 1985, where a luxury trim level, the L6, was also made available. Production of the E24 would end in 1989; 86,216 were produced.

The E24 would also be taken racing in many touring car championships around the world. Homologated for Group A competition, the car competed in categories such as the European Touring Car Championship, DTM and the Japanese Touring Car Championship. This car is run by JPS Team BMW, with Jim Richards winning seven races in 1985 and the 1985 championship with it. The 635 CSi was retired from use in 1987, being replaced with the BMW M3.

Now this casting was designed by Bryan Zhao and introduced in 2025 as a new model. This is currently its only release.
