This is a 2007 Honda Civic Type R. Designed by Mitsuru Kariya and internally designated the FD2, the Honda Civic Type R is a high-performance version of the Honda Civic, acting as a sports sedan or coupe.
First unveiled in prototype form at the 2006 Japanese Grand Prix in October 2006, the Civic Type R went on sale on 29 March 2007; it was the first version of the Civic Type R available in a four-door body style as opposed to a three-door hatchback. The car was bigger, wider and heavier than the previous EP3 Type R; it remained powered by a 2.0L K20A inline-4 with I-VTEC, generating up to 222 horsepower driving the front wheels. The sole transmission is a 6-speed Honda SPNM close-ratio 6-speed manual.
The car has a different front and rear bumper in comparison to the standard Civic and a more rigid aluminum chassis in comparison to the Integra Type R. A helical LSD is fitted on the car as standard. The car rides on Bridgestone Potenza rubbers and Enkei 7-spoke aluminum rims. The Recaro seats and Momo steering wheel were replaced by in-house designed units. The car has a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph) and a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time of 6.3 seconds.
The car was noted as being faster than the Integra Type R and even the European FN2 Type R in some tests. Three colors were initially made available although colors expanded in the following years. Production ended in 2011 with the car being unable to meet stricter emissions standards. 14,062 were produced.
Now this casting was designed by Ron Wong and introduced in 2025. This casting has seen two known releases, the other being a black "Chase" release with a slightly different license plate.
