It was an especially exciting time for racing in the late ’60s and early ’70s, and of course that’s when Hot Wheels was born, too. Makes your head spin! Things like the eye-catching Gulf logo and color scheme began to appear on race cars, and a sassy little JDM number – the Datsun 510 – showed up as an unlikely winner on the racing circuits. Not only have we seen the popularity of our Datsun 510 releases, but once we added the opening hood in 2017? This casting is off the charts. We’ve also released a few castings with Gulf racing deco, and it’s clear that you love to see it. We’re excited to bring the two together in this must-have edition.
Finished in silky smooth powder blue with the stark contrast of marigold orange, this Datsun includes painted details on the engine, a matte black-painted chassis, and Real Riders racing wheels with gray-painted hubs. It comes mounted in an acrylic case tucked into a Gulf-themed box.
