This is a Custom '73 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R. Designed by Shinichiro Sakurai, the second generation of the Skyline GT-R was introduced at the 1972 Tokyo Motor Show. Powered by a 2.0L S20 inline-6 with a 5-speed manual, the KPGC110 generation, shortened to C110, featured front and rear disc brakes and semi-trailing ring arm suspension and aerodynamic parts. Of all the Skyline GT-Rs, the C110 was highly unsuccessful, with a gasoline crisis hitting in the early 1970s, reducing demand for high-performance sports cars. No GT-Rs would be produced by Nissan until 1989. 197 were produced.
The founder of Liberty Walk, Wataru Kato, owns a C110 Nissan Skyline with a custom body kit as one of his personal projects. The real car was not a C110 GT-R in its previous life, instead being a GC111 GT-X. Built in collaboration with Mizuno Works, this car features an Ice Blue Pearl livery with blue flakes, bolted overfenders, Mizuno dampers and brakes, custom-tuned L28 inline-6 stroked to 3.1L, negative camber, external oil cooler, Vitaloni mirrors, Nissan Cherry taillamps, Datsun Competition steering wheel, Kameari Works and Omori gauges and 14-inch custom steelies. This car is mainly used for exhibitions and racing and is technically not street legal.
Now this casting was designed by the late Ryu Asada and introduced in 2022 in the HW J-Imports Series. This is currently its only release. This casting was based on the 2000GT-R casting designed by Jun Imai and is very similar in proportions.
