This is a '77 Porsche 911 Turbo, internally known as the 930. Designed by Ernst Fuhrmann, the 930 was designed to comply with homologation regulations, intending to market the vehicle as a street legal racing vehicle. Powered by a 3.0L Typ 930/60 flat-6 with a Kühnle, Kopp & Kausch turbocharger, the 930 generated 256 BHP; mated to a 5-speed Getrag G50 manual, at the time of its introduction in 1975, the 930 was the fastest production German car. Notably, the 930 was also very demanding to drive; the car was often the center of numerous crashes and deaths due to its handling characteristics. This concerned Porsche enough that they enacted "Turbo Training" for all Porsche employees driving any 911 Turbo for whatever reason, despite the fact that newer Turbos were easier and safer to drive. Changes were made to the 930 over its lifespan before the car was discontinued in 1989. 21,589 were produced.
This specific 911 Turbo is the signature customized vehicle of the lead singer of Samurai, Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves) in the Cyberpunk series. He got his hands on the 911 many years after it was manufactured and was his daily driver until his death in 2023, at which point the car was hidden in a garage by firefighter Samantha Stevens who preserved the car using cosmoline. "Not many" are left by 2077, with the vehicle later being found by a mercenary named V. CD Projekt Red collaborated with Porsche to produce a replica of this vehicle for display.
Now this casting was designed by Mark Jones and introduced in 2022 in the Entertainment series. This is currently its only release.
