The Toyota Stout is a light truck manufactured by Toyota from 1954 to 2000. The second generation of the Stout, also known as the Lite Stout, produced from 1960 to 1978, the Stout was redesigned to be longer and larger and had a new front fascia. The Stout acted as Toyota's launch model in the South African market. In the US market the Stout was sold from 1964 to 1967 as the Stout 1900. Stouts were manufactured in Toyota's Honsha plant in Japan and in Durban in South Africa, the latter mainly for their own domestic market.
This is a replica of Ryan Tuerck's 1966 Toyota Stout drift truck. The real truck was designed in collaboration with his friend Dominic Biro on a tubeframe chassis. The truck was rebuilt at Kibbtech while a fiberglass body fabricated by ADV Fiberglass was fitted to resemble a Stout; it is powered by a 2.0L 3S-GTE turbocharged inline-4 estimated to make around 600 to 650 horsepower.
