This is a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. Designed by Dragan Vukadinović, the Eclipse is a sport compact car manufactured by Diamond Star Motors in Normal, Illinois for Mitsubishi Motors.

Introduced in 1991, the Eclipse is named for an undefeated English race horse who won 18 races in a row and retired. In 1995, the Eclipse was given a major restyling, having more rounded shapes and a larger interior. It maintained the market focus of the previous generation but marketed it to a broader audience. A few trim levels were available, such as the RS, GS and GS-T; the GS was a mid-range model with a Chrysler 420A 2.0L inline-4 making 140 horsepower.

For 1997, the car underwent a minor styling revision, with the front grille opening given a more aggressive profile and the headlights a sharper slant on the inner edges; the reverse lights were restyled as well, being moved out into the bumper fascia. The GS-T and GSX models were also given higher-profile rear spoilers. Production ended in 1999 with a new generation of Eclipse introduced in 2000; the Eclipse lineage would end production in 2012 although the name is currently being used for a series of crossovers manufactured by Mitsubishi.

The Eclipse gained some prominence in the Fast & Furious franchise, being driven by Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker). The "Hero 1" car was built by John Lapid and was fitted with a Robo Car Aero Armor body kit, GT roof scoop, APR wing and Axis SE7EN wheels. Six cars were used for filming. the Hero 1 car is currently located in the Hollywood Star Cars Museum in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Now this casting was designed by Mark Jones and introduced in 2019 in the Fast & Furious Premium Series. This casting has seen eight known releases, the last being this 25th Anniversary "Chase" edition in 2026. The casting was modified in 2023 for potential mainline use with a fixed metal wing.
